This Privacy Policy explains what information the app does and does not process when you use it, and how limited technical processing may occur through the app's infrastructure providers.

3. On-Device Technical Processing

To ensure the app functions correctly and wallpapers display properly on your device, certain technical information is processed locally on your device.

Display Size and Orientation

When applying wallpapers, the app temporarily reads your device's screen dimensions and orientation to correctly size and crop images for your home or lock screen. This processing occurs in real time on your device and is not stored or transmitted to Cute Explode ApS.

Motion Sensor (Shake to Refresh)

The app may access your device's motion sensors to detect a shake gesture used for refreshing or suggesting wallpapers. Motion sensor data is processed locally on your device only and is not stored or transmitted to Cute Explode ApS.

Local Caching

To improve performance and reduce unnecessary network usage, the app may temporarily store certain content locally on your device, including:

  • Previously viewed wallpaper images
  • Wallpaper category selections and widget configuration information
  • Daily affirmation content and styling preferences

This cached data remains stored on your device and can be cleared at any time through your device settings or by uninstalling the app.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Where applicable under the GDPR, technical processing related to the operation and security of the app relies on the following legal bases:

Wallpaper images and related content may be delivered through Cloudflare's global content delivery network (CDN) to improve performance, availability, and reliability.

Microsoft Azure

Wallpaper metadata and related content may be hosted using Microsoft Azure cloud services.

Firebase App Check

Firebase App Check may be used to help protect the service from abuse and unauthorized access by verifying that requests originate from a legitimate copy of the app.

Important Note About Technical Network Data

Like most internet-connected services, these providers may transiently process limited technical information such as IP addresses, HTTP headers, device information, request metadata, or network routing data as part of standard internet communication, secure content delivery, and abuse prevention.

Cute Explode ApS does not use these services to identify users by name, create user profiles, perform behavioral analytics, or track individual behavior for advertising purposes.

6. International Data Transfers

Some third-party services used by the app may process limited technical data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including in countries such as the United States, as part of secure hosting, content delivery, and abuse prevention.

Where such transfers occur, Cute Explode ApS relies on the transfer mechanisms and safeguards made available by the relevant service providers under applicable data protection law. No Advertisements

The app does not display third-party advertisements.

No Behavioral Analytics or Tracking by Cute Explode ApS

Cute Explode ApS does not use analytics or tracking tools for user profiling or advertising purposes, including services such as:

  • Google Analytics
  • Firebase Analytics
  • Facebook SDK
  • Similar behavioral tracking platforms

If any analytics, crash reporting, diagnostic SDKs, or advertising services are later added, this Privacy Policy must be updated before or at the time such services are enabled.

No Payments

The app does not include in-app purchases, subscriptions, or payment processing systems.
